We originally started offering this course for nearly half the original cost in late August as a scuba stimulus opportunity. The overwhelmingly positive responses to this break in instruction costs made us sit back and think about how to make this a more permanent arrangement.

So effective immediately, our entry-level class and pool course will permanently remain at $299. The cost will include everything you need to get certified except the final checkout dives. There are three parts to getting your Open Water Diver. First is the instruction portion of the course. The second part involves skill assessments in a pool (or poollike) environment. The final checkout involves putting those pool skills to use in an open water setting.

We decided to keep the class and pool together in the cost and offer the checkout dives separate. If you decided to take the open water dives locally, there would be another $100 charge for entry into the location, rental gear, and tanks. If, however, you decided to travel with us on one of our many yearly trips to the Caribbean, your checkout dives will be on us!
